Checking your matriculation status with JAMB is a simple process that can be done online. The matriculation list is a record of all the students who have been admitted into Nigerian universities and are eligible for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
How to View the Jamb Matriculation Lists
Here are the steps to check your JAMB matriculation list:
- Visit the JAMB official website at www.jamb.org.ng
- Click on the “Services” tab on the homepage
- Select “Matriculation List.”
- Enter your JAMB registration number in the space provided and click on “Fetch My Details”
- If your name is on the matriculation list, it will be displayed on the screen
- If your name is not on the list, you can contact your institution’s admission office for assistance.

It is important to note that only students whose admissions have been approved by JAMB and have been uploaded by their institutions can be found on the matriculation list. Which simply means that if your name is not eligible for the National Youth Service, then you might need to regularize your admission.
NYSC Senate Lists
The NYSC senate list is usually uploaded on the NYSC portal by the respective institutions a few weeks before the online registration for each batch of corps members begins.
The purpose of the list is to verify that you are eligible and qualified to serve your country. If your name is not on the list, you will not be able to register for the NYSC program.
How to check your name on the NYSC Senate Lists
Follow the steps below to verify your name on the Senate;
- Visit the NYSC portal at portal.nysc.org.ng
- Scroll down to locate “Check Senate List or its equivalents”, and click on the link,
- Select your Institution,
- Enter your Matriculation number,
- Enter your Surname,
- Select your Date of Birth (Day, month, and year).
- If the date of birth box is not clickable, leave it that way.
- Click on the “Search” button to view your Senate list status. If the page displays “No record found“, then see the reason your name is not on the Senate list and how to sort it out. Please note it is also important to verify your name on the NYSC graduation list.
NYSC Graduation Lists
If you have completed your coursework and graduated from a tertiary institution in Nigeria, you are eligible to participate in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program. One of the requirements for participating in the program is to confirm your name on the NYSC graduation list. Here is how you can check your name:

- Visit the NYSC portal at https://portal.nysc.org.ng/
- Click on “Mobilization Batch.”
- Select your “Institution.”
- Enter your “Matriculation Number” and “Surname” in the required fields.
- Click on “Search” to view your status.
If your name is on the graduation list, you will see a message confirming your eligibility to participate in the NYSC program. However, if your name is not on the list, you will need to contact your institution’s student affairs office or the NYSC help center for assistance. It is important to note that only graduates whose names appear on the NYSC graduation list are eligible for mobilization to participate in the program.
