The 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) began on April 19, 2024 and will conclude on Monday, April 29, 2024, as scheduled by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Candidates who had difficulty at their CBT facilities and were unable to sit for their UTME on the first scheduled day have been rescheduled, thus the exam will end on the 29th as previously stated, with no extensions.
The JAMB results (UTME results) for 2024 will be officially released as soon as the UTME is completed. In this post, you will learn how to verify your JAMB results using two methods:
1. Using the JAMB Result checking portal
2. Using SMS 55019 or 66019
How to Check JAMB Result using SMS
To check your JAMB (Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board) results using the 55019 or 66019 code, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the phone number you used during your JAMB registration is available.
2. Go to your SMS messaging app on your phone.
3. Type “RESULT” followed by a space.
4. Enter your JAMB Registration Number in after the space
5. Send the to either 55019 or 66019.
For example: RESULT 12345678AB (Replace “12345678AB” with your JAMB Registration Number).
After sending the message, you should receive your JAMB result as an SMS shortly.
Note: Be sure to have sufficient balance on your phone, as charges may apply for sending the SMS.
How to Check JAMB Result using Result checking Portal
To check your JAMB result via the result checking portal:
1. Visit the JAMB official result checking portal.
2. Input your JAMB Registration Number or email address.
3. Click on “Check My Result” or any similar button.
4. Your result will be displayed on the screen.
